There are many reasons for the deformation and cracks of mechanical parts during the processing, such as materials, heat treatment, structure planning, process arrangement, workpiece clamping, cutting line selection, etc. The main factors causing the deformation and cracks are related to the structure of the parts.

There are many reasons for the deformation and cracks of mechanical parts during the processing, such as materials, heat treatment, structure planning, process arrangement, workpiece clamping, cutting line selection, etc. The main factors causing the deformation and cracks are related to the structure of the parts.

(1) When the slender shape of the die and punch is simply deformed, the deformation is related to the disorder of the shape, the length width ratio and the ratio of the cavity to the structure width. The more disordered the shape of the mold, the greater the length width ratio and width width ratio of the cavity and the mold frame, and the greater the deformation of the mold. The deformation rule is that the middle of the cavity is shortened and the punch is generally warped.

(2) The quenching chamber with disordered shape and clear view point can easily crack or even burst at sharp corners. Its occurrence frequency is related to material composition and heat treatment process.

(3) Cylindrical parts with thin wall thickness are assumed to be cut on the inner wall and simply deformed, generally changing from round to oval. Suppose it is cut into a notch, and when it is about to be cut, it simply bursts.

(4) The deep groove cut from the outside of the part is easy to deform. The deformation rule is the entrance of the mouth. The amount of deformation is related to the groove depth and material properties.
