According to the data released by the China Machinery Industry Federation, in the first half of the year, China's machinery industry further consolidated its stable and positive trend, and the growth rate of major economic indicators exceeded the national industrial average.

This year, the growth rate of added value of the machinery industry increased month by month, and the growth rate in the first half of the year was 8.4%. It was 1.7 and 1.5 percentage points higher than that of the national industry and manufacturing respectively in the same period. After more than two years of downturn, the investment in fixed assets of the machinery industry has recovered since this year.

Chen Bin, Executive Vice President of China Machinery Industry Federation: In the first half of the year, the growth rate of investment in special equipment manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing was 10.3%, 8.5% and 8.5% respectively, higher than that of the whole society and manufacturing industry in the same period.

It is noteworthy that problems such as weak market and insufficient demand continue to plague the development of the machinery industry. In the first half of the year, the cumulative orders of traditional industries such as electricity, metallurgy and coal increased by 9.64% year on year, dropping to a single digit growth level. Chen Bin believes that the industry should adhere to promoting industrial restructuring and product transformation and upgrading in the future. On the whole, the economic operation of the machinery industry will be relatively stable this year.
